BDS graduates must pass the NMCLE licensing examination administered by the Nepal Medical Council before they can register and practise as licensed dental professionals. The format consists of 130 multiple-choice questions (one mark each) and 10 case-study questions (five marks each), totalling 180 marks, with a three-hour time limit and a pass mark of 90 (50%).
